Chien-Yu (Ariel) Lin, Ph.D.

Senior Research Scientist

Ariel Lin is a research scientist at Activate Research. Dr. Lin specializes in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, as well as program evaluation. With over ten years of research experience, she is skilled in a wide range of methodologies, including correlational studies, survey studies, experimental design, psychometric instrument development, case studies, interviews, and content analysis. Prior to joining Activate, she was a technical reviewer for the Department of Labor and the National Center for Education Statistics. In addition, she worked as a senior analyst, providing research and evaluation support for the Department of Labor’s clearinghouse projects. Dr. Lin has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Lin received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland at College Park with a certificate in Measurements, Statistics and Evaluation, and her M.A. in Educational Psychology and Counseling from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan.
